Flowerbomb Kush feminised was winner of the 2012 High Times Cannabis Cup.
Strain Hunters Flowerbomb Kush
Flowerbomb Kush was produced by the Strain Hunters by crossing a strain known as Green Crack with O.G. Kush. It is a powerful and strong smelling Kush cannabis strain. The growth pattern differs from the typical Kush one in that the side branches become very long and compete with the central cola whereas it is more usual for Kush strains to exhibit a Christmas tree profile. Its leaves are wide and thick with a very dark green colouration which can turn black. Although it does well with a medium nutrient regime in a hydroponic set-up the taste is even sweeter when grown in soil. Large calyxes proliferate forming extremely dense buds with a marked tendency to run to fox-tails to reward the grower with long, fat buds.
The Flowerbomb Kush is an extravagant resin producer and at maturity even the leaves are covered in sparkling crystals containing the THC. Not necessarily the biggest yielding marijuana strain it can nonetheless give more than one kilo of dried buds from the biggest plants grown outdoors. Flowering time is about 8 weeks and the manicured buds exude an earthy, spicy scent with notes of orange and rose. When smoked the taste is a combination of Kush earthiness, somewhat vegetal and with sweet and fruity flavours on the exhale. Upon lighting up the effect is very fast and hard hitting, rather physical but this then develops into a more cerebral effect with great sociability. It's easy to see why it was so popular with the judges!
